| | Big Mack Motorsports Prepares for 2003 Truck Racing Season | |
Big Mack Motorsports will have a new race vehicle in 2003. The team, with driver Mike Twist, will compete in the Mini Truck division at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine next season. Twist will drive the #70 Chevrolet S-10 entry as part of the tracks popular Thursday Night Thunder Series.
The four cylinder truck that the team will race is no stranger to success at the track. It won the 2000 track championship and has finished third in points for the past two seasons with Rick Emmons as the driver.
The Big Mack Motorsports team is looking forward to the beginning of the truck racing season which begins on June 12th at Beech Ridge.
"I can't wait until the season starts," Twist said. "I'm fortunate enough to have a great crew, sponsors and equipment. I hope that I'm able to be at their level as a driver. We're going to have a good time this year. This is a fun series and Beech Ridge is a really nice facility. The team is looking forward to June."
In 2002, Twist and the Big Mack Motorsports team competed in a limited schedule of Enduro races at New Hampshires Star and Hudson Speedways with their #50 Oldsmobile Ciera. They plan to also compete with the #50 car in 2003 atselected New Hamsphire Enduro events.
Big Mack Motorsports is sponsored by Hull Automotive Sales and Service, Shamrock Productions, Busch North Scene, Champion Auto, Speedway Sports Park, Bus and Transit Sales, Weirs GMC. The team is named for a Mack the dog, a Boxer/Shar Pei mix and one of the team's mascots. |
