Mike Twist is the founder and driving force behind Shamrock Productions. Twist has been involved in motorsports since childhood. He has had several different roles in the sport including driver, crew member, writer, car owner and public relations representative. Twist has worked with various NASCAR Winston Cup Series and Busch Series teams. The list of drivers who he has provided material for includes Joe Bessey, Rich Bickle, Geoffrey Bodine, Jeff Green, Mike McLaughlin, Ted Musgrave, Elliott and Hermie Sadler and Dick Trickle. Everything from television scripts to sports trading cards have been written by Twist. His credentials in motorsports media includes experience in writing, photography and video production with TNN Motorsports, Speedway Illustrated, Stock Car Racing and Open Wheel magazines and National Speed Sport News. Most recently, Shamrock Productions help to promote the 2003 campaing of NASCAR Busch North Series Rookie of the Year runner-up Mark Durgin and the #19 Triple Crown Racing team. In addition to his duties with Shamrock Productions, Twist also writes a regular column for Busch North Scene, races the #70 truck short tracks in Maine and is involved in several automotive related business ventures.
